Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz / 170g) salmon fillets, skin-on
  • ½ tsp (3g) kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp (1g) cracked black pepper
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp (14g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves (9g) garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp (2g) dried parsley
  • ½ tsp (1g) paprika

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them completely dry with paper towels. Place them skin-side down on the prepared pan.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, and paprika until emulsified.
  4. Season the tops of the fillets lightly with salt and pepper.
  5. Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over each fillet, ensuring the edges are coated.
  6. Place in the center rack of the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature hits 135°F (57°C) and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove the pan from the oven and allow the salmon to rest briefly before serving.
