Ingredients:
- 2 (6 oz / 170g) center-cut salmon fillets, skin-on
- 1 tbsp (15ml) avocado oil
- ½ tsp (3g) kosher salt
- ¼ tsp (1g) cracked black pepper
- ¼ tsp (1g) garlic powder
Instructions:
- Pat the salmon fillets extremely dry with paper towels. Press firmly on the skin side until no moisture remains.
- Rub the oil directly onto the skin and the flesh. Sprinkle the salt, pepper, and garlic powder evenly across the top, ensuring the salt is pressed into the skin.
- Place the fillets skin-side down on a prepared baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (218°C) for 12–15 minutes until the flesh turns opaque.
- Switch the oven to 'Broil' for the final 1–2 minutes, watching closely until the skin is bubbling and golden-brown.
