Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz / 170 g) salmon fillets
- ½ tsp (3 g) salt
- ¼ tsp (1 g) black pepper
- 2 tbsp (30 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp (21 g) honey
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves (6 g) garlic, minced
- ½ tsp (1 g) dried oregano
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with a paper towel to ensure a proper sear.
- Place fillets on the pan and season both sides evenly with salt and black pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, lemon juice, minced garlic, and dried oregano until combined.
- Using a brush or spoon, generously coat the top of each fillet with the honey garlic butter mixture.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove the salmon from the oven when an instant-read thermometer hits 135°F to 140°F (57°C to 60°C) in the thickest part.
- Let the salmon rest on the pan for 5 minutes to reach a final internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
