Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz / 170 g) salmon fillets
  • ½ tsp (3 g) salt
  • ¼ tsp (1 g) black pepper
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp (21 g) honey
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves (6 g) garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp (1 g) dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with a paper towel to ensure a proper sear.
  3. Place fillets on the pan and season both sides evenly with salt and black pepper.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, lemon juice, minced garlic, and dried oregano until combined.
  5. Using a brush or spoon, generously coat the top of each fillet with the honey garlic butter mixture.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove the salmon from the oven when an instant-read thermometer hits 135°F to 140°F (57°C to 60°C) in the thickest part.
  7. Let the salmon rest on the pan for 5 minutes to reach a final internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
