Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 1/2 lemon (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Use paper towels to pat each salmon fillet completely dry on all sides, then place them skin-side down on the baking sheet.
- Brush or drizzle the olive oil evenly over the top and sides of each fillet to create a moisture seal.
- Sprinkle the salt and black pepper evenly across the top and gently press the seasoning into the flesh with your fingers.
- Bake on the center rack for 12–15 minutes until the salmon changes from translucent pink to opaque, pale pink and flakes easily with a fork (internal temperature of 135°F/57°C).
